The first official day will be Sunday January 6th . Kids are to meet by the Jasper Ski Team race shack in the back corner of the first parking lot (building closest to the hill) ready to go at 9:15 am. The kids will be assessed by the coaches and divided into groups according to ability. Skiers can take their lunches in their backpacks and they will drop them off at the mid-mountain chalet. All Nancy Greene program kids will be given a tallow vest so they are easy to identify on the hill.
The group always has lunch between 12-1pm upstairs in the mid mountain chalet. Parents are encouraged to come and eat with the group, as coaches often eat quickly then go and set up the race course, then come back and pick up the kids. Please be aware that there is at least one child with a severe peanut allergy. Coach Patrice Fortin requests that we try and keep the lunches as healthy as possible.
The groups usually will technical free ski in the morning, then do some fun gates in the afternoon. We can let you know at lunchtime where they will be skiing and you can go and watch. The groups will be brought back to the first parking lot at 3:00 pm. We ask that parents be prompt picking up your children.
